It is with gratitude and joy that I welcome you to Caroline Chisholm Catholic College, a school deeply rooted in the values of faith, knowledge, and service. Caroline Chisholm is a leading Catholic Regional College serving the inner western suburbs of Melbourne. The College was formed in 1997 with the amalgamation of the Christ the King College, St John’s College and the senior co-educational college, Caroline Chisholm. Christ the King College had served female students from the Braybrook area since 1954 and St John’s College also in Braybrook, since 1965. In 1979, Caroline Chisholm was formed as a Year 11 and 12 co-educational setting.
As a regional College under the governance of the Melbourne Archdiocese of Catholic Schools (MACS), Caroline Chisholm offers an extensive educational program to over 1500 students. At Caroline Chisholm, we are committed to providing an education that nurtures not only the mind of the students but their heart and soul, shaping young people to be compassionate, ethical, and faith-filled leaders of their communities, preparing them to make a positive difference in the world.
Inspired by the teachings of Jesus Christ and the rich traditions of the Catholic Church, the College fosters an environment where each student is encouraged to grow spiritually, intellectually, socially, physically and personally. Our dedicated staff is passionate about guiding students on their educational journey, ensuring they develop a love for learning, a spirit of generosity, and a commitment to social justice.
In providing a holistic education that nurtures intellectual curiosity, spiritual growth, and personal development, we follow the example of our College Patron, Caroline Chisholm, a British humanitarian and social reformer who assisted immigrants and improved the conditions for women and families during times of displacement and great inequity. She was deeply motivated by her Catholic faith and a strong sense of social justice and serves as a role model for our staff and students.
We encourage our students to grow in faith, by serving their communities, and developing the leadership skills necessary to make a meaningful impact in the world. We believe that each student has the right to learn and achieve their best.
I invite you to explore our website and discover the vibrant, faith-filled community that makes Caroline Chisholm unique.
