Michael Chesser - Director of Faith and Mission

Michael Chesser brings a deep passion for faith formation and education to Caroline Chisholm Catholic College. With extensive experience in Catholic mission and religious education, he is committed to strengthening the College’s Catholic identity and helping students, staff, and families connect with their faith through deeper religious understanding and meaningful liturgical experiences.

Before joining the College in January 2025, Michael spent 10 years as Director of Catholic Mission & Mercy Ethos at St Aloysius College, North Melbourne, where he fostered a faith-driven and inclusive school community. Holding a Master of Education (Religious Education), Graduate Diploma in Education, Graduate Certificate in Religious Education, Bachelor of Arts, and Bachelor of Music, Michael combines academic expertise with practical leadership to inspire students in their spiritual journeys. His approach focuses on engaging students in active participation, reflection, and dialogue, ensuring faith remains a lived experience within the College.

Michael is particularly passionate about liturgical music as a means of worship and community building. Through his leadership, he hopes to cultivate a vibrant and faith-filled environment, where students feel empowered to explore their spirituality and contribute to the wider mission of the College and Diocese.
