Laura Ruddick – Deputy Principal of Learning and Teaching

Throughout 2024, Laura served as the Acting Principal of the College, stepping into the role in January and leading the school with exceptional grace and passion and commitment.

Laura is an experienced educator in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne having previously held leadership positions at Williamstown High School and Suzanne Cory High School. Her experience is complimented with her formal educational qualifications of a dual degree in Education and Human Movement Science, as well as receiving her Victorian Aspiring Principals Assessment in 2021. Laura is currently undertaking her Graduate Certificate in teaching Religious Education to continue her work in creating a positive faith-based environment by instilling Catholic values and principles throughout the school culture.

Laura, alongside the Leadership team and staff, are committed to building a strong sense of community within CCCC by fostering strong relationships between students, parents, teachers, and staff. She is working to ensure that Caroline Chisholm Catholic College celebrates outstanding academic standards but more importantly, dedicating the College to student’s wellbeing.
Her hopes are to create a sense of belonging and unity that enhances the overall educational experience for our students, so they can have prosperous and fulfilling futures beyond graduation. She wants Caroline Chisholm Catholic College to continue to be a school of choice in the Western region, and desires for it to be a place that students proudly identify as their own.
