World Day of Social Justice – 20th Feb
A Prayer for Social Justice:
Loving and Merciful God,
We come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the many blessings we have received. We thank You for the gift of love, which You have shown us through Your Son, Jesus Christ. As we reflect on the call to justice, we ask that You set us ablaze with the fire of His love, so that we may be true instruments of Your peace and compassion in the world.
Lord, help us to see the needs of our brothers and sisters, especially those who suffer from inequality, poverty, and injustice. Stir in us a deep desire to stand with the oppressed, to speak up for the voiceless, and to act in ways that reflect Your love and mercy. May we never be indifferent to the struggles of others, but always be moved to action in support of dignity and justice for all people.
Through the example of Jesus, who showed us that true greatness lies in serving others, may we be inspired to use our gifts and talents to make a positive impact in our community and in the wider world. Set our hearts on fire with a passion for justice, that we may work tirelessly to build a world where love, equality, and peace prevail.
Bless our College community, Lord, and guide us as we seek to live out our faith through acts of Social Justice. May we be the hands and feet of Christ in this world, bringing hope and light wherever there is darkness.
We ask this in the name of Jesus, who is the embodiment of love and justice.
Amen.
