Why work with us?

Caroline Chisholm Catholic College is dedicated to learning excellence in a faith-filled, engaged and supportive environment.

Located in Melbourne’s inner western corridor, the College has a vibrant and inclusive learning community that caters for a multicultural, multi-faith student population of about 1500 spread across three campuses on two sites in Churchill Avenue, Braybrook.

We have a positive and settled classroom atmosphere that enables teachers and students to work together effectively. Students are encouraged to be the best they are called to be.

The College has a collaborative environment, and a culture of ongoing learning. Staff receive eight professional learning days a year, along with access to both internal and external professional development opportunities including mentoring/coaching. Eligible staff can also apply for support financially in post-graduate studies.

The College offers a wide variety of subjects including university units for senior students, as well as over 50 VCE subjects. We also offer VCAL and VET subjects, testament to our commitment to catering for varied interests. We have strong and improving NAPLAN and VCE results, particularly in STEM subjects – about 80 per cent of our Year 12 cohort goes to university after graduation.

Our facilities are high quality, including an indoor heated pool, state-of-the-art 800 seat auditorium, recently-built Trade Training Centre, new science laboratories, new Chapel and a College-owned and operated outdoor education site – Garema Dumont. We have a schedule so that we are constantly updating to ensure that we have the best facilities available for staff and students.

Teachers can communicate with parents and students via our Intranet – every student has a notebook computer.

The College has been accredited by the Catholic Education of Melbourne as a Performance and Development Culture and a Restorative Practices School. This means that conflicts are resolved through a strong commitment to mediation, discussion and working together.

Caroline Chisholm Catholic College is proud of its positive, personalised learning culture that presents staff and students with wonderful opportunities for growth and success.

At Caroline Chisholm Catholic College we have a zero tolerance for child abuse and are committed to acting in children’s best interests and keeping them safe from harm. The College regards its child protection responsibilities with the utmost importance and as such, is committed to providing the necessary resources to ensure compliance with all relevant child protection laws and regulations and maintain a child safe culture.
